This web page houses the DHHS Audit Confirmation Reports that are used to confirm the amount of financial assistance payments made to local governments and certain not-for-profit organizations in North Carolina by the seven DHHS divisions that administer the programs through which these funds are awarded. These reports are used primarily by the local governments and their independent auditors (CPAs) for the purpose of completing the "Schedule of Expenditures of Federal and State Awards", which is a required part of the annual Single Audit Report as described in North Carolina General Statute 159-34 and the Federal Single Audit Act of 1984.

"The DHHS Controller's Office continues to monitor feedback about this website in an effort to improve its value and usefulness to auditors and their clients. This year's website again includes confirmation reports for Boards of Education, Assistance Secretary for Preparedness & Response (ASPR) and Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) under "Local Government Entity". Our goal is to eventually eliminate the need for auditors and their clients to send confirmation requests to us. Since these reports may be accessed and printed from this web site, DHHS will not routinely mail paper copies to users. If you discover any discrepancies in your review of the information provided herein, please be sure to share it so that we can make the necessary corrections. Any questions, comments or other feedback should be directed to Don McLamb at (919) 855-3744, or by e-mail at Don.McLamb@dhhs.nc.gov. Thank you and have a nice day!!"
