Manual: Aged, Blind, and Disabled Medicaid
To: County Directors of Social Services
Effective: March 1, 2006
It has been brought to our attention that the process for the ICF-MR level of care determinations by the Murdoch Center has changed. Policy indicates the Murdoch Center sends the MR-2 directly to the county department of social services. Now the county receives the MR-2 from the local management entity (LME).
MA-2270, Long Term Care Need and Budgeting, reflects the procedure change in the ICF-MR and CAP-MR/DD level of care determinations. The county receives the stamped copy of the MR-2 from the LME, not from the Murdoch Center.
This policy is effective March 1, 2006. Apply this policy to redeterminations and applications pending or taken on or after March 1, 2006.
Remove: MA-2270, Long Term Care Need and Budgeting, pages 41 and 42.
Insert: MA-2270, Long Term Care Need and Budgeting, pages 41 and 42 dated 3/1/06.
