Manual: Aged, Blind, And Disabled Medicaid Manual
Change No: 18-07
To: County Directors of Social Services
Effective: August 1, 2007
The Managed Care staff has created 2 new exempt numbers that caseworkers will use and manually key into the EIS system in the following situations:
The exempt codes will appear on the monthly exempt report that counties currently receive. The report will pick up these new exempt codes when caseworkers begin keying these codes.
This policy is effective August 1, 2007. You must key in an exempt number or a provider number for any redeterminations or applications approved on or after August 1, 2007. At the next review determine if the child has a medical provider. If the child already has a medical provider, key the appropriate provider number.
