A. Beginning January 1, 2013, coverage for routine transportation services for Medicaid beneficiaries who live in an Adult Care Homes (ACH) is no longer part of the Medicaid payment to the ACH. Transportation services for Medicaid beneficiaries in an ACH is arranged and provided by the local county DSS. Policy is revised to reflect this change.
C. Mileage reimbursement policy states that mileage reimbursement “shall not exceed the current IRS business rate” (1/2 that rate for beneficiaries and financially responsible persons). Policy clarifies that the rate paid must be sufficient to cover the cost of gas using a conservative miles-per-gallon estimate. In addition, the link to the IRS business rate is updated.
